I installed Ivory Search earlier this month.

I happened to have debug log tuned on and teh file has filled with entries that all say this:

PHP Warning: preg_match(): Unknown modifier 'I' in /home/b******s/webapps/b*****s/wp-content/plugins/add-search-to-menu/public/class-is-public.php on line 986

Now, I appreciate this is only a warning and normally I would ignore them, but they are being created at an enormous rate. Since the 7th July, 1.4 million entries!!!

That has to be affecting performance.

How do we fix this fix this please?

Sorry to hear about the problem you are having.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of the plugin.

Which versions of the plugin, WordPress, and PHP are you using on your website?

Are you using the TablePress plugin?

    Best regards,

    WordPress 6.0.1
    php 7.4.30
    Ivory Search 5.4.7
    TablePress 1.14

We decided to go through the Ivory Search settings to see if we had misconfigured anything. We changed some settings to try alternatives but didn’t like them and went back to the settings we had before. And the errors have stopped!

No idea why. We’ll keep an eye out to see if they reappear

    Ok

Do let me know if it occurs again.
