    Hi Chris

    Thank you for your help. However some further questions.

    1. Why do the custom fields keep coming up in the testimonials even after i have deleted them?

    2. Read more comes up in some of the views even through i don’t have the box ticked and i have given 900 characters

    3. I new field has appeared that I didn’t put in

    uib with IFZoIApQ in the value

    4. The custom CSS you recommended to get rid of the ” didn’t work. I just inserted it into the CSS classes at the bottom of the view .strong-view.default .testimonial-heading {
    background: none;
    padding-left: 0;
    }

    Thanks for you help again! Wendy

    Hi Wendy,

    1. Deleting fields in Testimonials > Fields only removes them from the form and from being available in the View editor.

    After deleting a field, you should remove it from the View too.

    To delete the field values from the testimonials, you have to edit the testimonial, enable the Custom Fields metabox if not already (in Screen Options) and delete them there.

    Editing these 3 aspects – Fields, Views, values – are not completely connected yet and I need to work on that.

    2. Is this when using the [testimonial_view] shortcode or the widget? Or is this when viewing the testimonial directly, like https://example.com/testimonial/another-great-testimonial?

    3. Where does this appear? A screenshot would help.

    4. The CSS Classes at the bottom of the View is for classes not rules. An imaginary example would be like “my-testimonials rounded centered”. You have to add that code to your theme or custom CSS as I mentioned before.

    I’m glad you’re asking these questions because they show me where I need to add documentation so you’re not stuck trying to figure it out ??

    Hi Chris

    1. My question – A new field has appeared that I didn’t put in = uib with IFZoIApQ in the value
    Where does this appear? A screenshot would help.

    It comes up on the testimonial pages with different values at the bottom of the list of custom fields (sorry could’nt screenshot won’t paste into here)

    2. When I look at the testimonials in the backend the ones with live links in the text block to websites, youtubes etc work.

    But not in the front end. Can you help me to make them work?

    Thanks Chris

    There is nothing in my plugin code named “uib” so something else is going on.

    Please double-check and confirm for me (1) that your fields in Testimonials > Fields are correct, and (2) that the custom fields in the View editor match. The View should only display those fields even if you or another plugin has added a custom field in the post editor.

    Links must be of type “url” in Testimonials > Fields to be displayed as clickable links.

    Try TinyGrab or Jing to share screenshots. You can always delete them later.
