Thanks for reaching out, hopefully we can assist. I can see that your non secure website (http) is accessible. Can you place a redirect so that all traffic is secure (https)? You should be able to do this from your hosting control panel, or alternatively you can use a plugin.

After doing so please attempt Site Kit setup once more. If you encounter the same issue please share your Site Health information privately using this form and we can troubleshoot further.

    Hi
I have redirect all http traffic to https and tried to reset Google site kit but the problem is still the same

Great, now that you have redirection in place please follow the steps below and inform me if you’re able to get successfully connected.

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https://knownepal.net to https://www.knownepal.net in your WordPress General Settings configuration.
    2. Log back into your site once requested and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    3. Open a browser incognito window
    4. Attempt setup once more

Please let me know if that works for you.

I have already submitted that form as you have mentioned it already in your above reply.

@amitpant thank you for providing that information!

Could you confirm if your WordPress Dashboard is located at wp-admin? If not, could you provide us the correct path where it is located?

Please feel free to re-submit the form with this information in the Any other supporting information field.

I changed the access URL of WordPress dashboard to wpamit a few days before my site migration to a new domain. It was working fine until the domain change.

Also, I have resubmitted the form.

    Hi,

Is there any progress on the issue? I tried every possible way but it’s not working.

When I delete the plugin it’s showing

Connect your Google account to Site Kit
Site Kit has already been configured by another admin of this site. To use Site Kit as well, sign in with your Google account which has access to Google services for this site (e.g. Google Analytics). Once you complete the 3 setup steps, you’ll see stats from all activated Google products.

Help us improve the Site Kit plugin by allowing tracking of anonymous usage stats. All data are treated in accordance with Google Privacy Policy

    Sign in with google

Rather than configure site kit by google.I think the data related to site kit are stored somewhere and it’s regaining it when I reinstall and causing errors.

Apologies for the delayed update, and thanks for the update. It sounds like you’re encountering a different issue at present. When you access this link from a browser while logged into the same Google account you used to setup Site Kit can you confirm you have access?

@amitpant I’m following up on your topic. I notice tracking scripts from Site Kit are present on the site.

Have you been able to connect Site Kit since or are you still encountering the error?

    Hi

Intialy my website was at this address and then in moved to Knownepal.net before i moved the site kit was fine but when i tried to configure sitekit after moving to the new address it started encountring issues.

I am still encountering the same error.

I did a little experiment by trying to install Sitekit on a subdomain to the same site and it worked well. So I think there is a problem somewhere in my database regarding site kit. can you tell me the name of database tables created by sitekit .

@amitpant thanks so much for the update!

We actually think the issue is with what the Site Kit service has stored for the WP admin dashboard URL (at the end of the setup process you are redirected to the dashboard and if it doesn’t match this error can occur). I know you provided wpamit, but we’re seeing some inconsistencies when we visit https://www.knownepal.net/wpamit (there is a redirection).

Sorry ask again, but could you confirm that your WP dashboard is located at https://www.knownepal.net/wpamit and there aren’t any other subdirectories we should be mindful of? We can then update from our side.

We’ll be working on a fix that will be mindful of changes to the admin URL to prevent this error in the future.

I have changed the WordPress access URLs to it’s default address and tried to setup Sitekit but it redirects the same error.
