Since today I noticed a problem on my site using the eventlist widget:

on my site the plugin gives me this error:

Please visit widget admin page and press “Save” to perform the required widget updates (required due to changes in new plugin version) !

In the backend it’s fine till I want to save a new event. Then it gives me this error

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at (website)/wp-admin/includes/template.php:1698) in (website)/public_html/oo/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 896

I already tried reinstalling but that didn’t work. Can you help me?

The widget part is normal. Please proceed with the steps given:
Goto the admin page Appearance -> Widgets, choose the event-list widget and press save. Afterwards it should be working again.

The problem on the admin page I already mentioned. It seems to be a problem when using permalinks.
I’m already working on it and hope I can release a fix soon.

Can you please try it with this modifications in your installation?
Would be good to know, if this also solve your problems.

I will release an updated version tomorrow.

I think I’ve found something valuable; when I add a event the default date for today is “3 januari 2014” when I change this to “3 January 2014” is works. I tested this on the downgraded version 0.56

I have release a new version with some fixes now (0.6.1). This should fix the “Cannot modify header information” bug.

I will have a look at the date issue, you last info is a great help.
Did I understand it correctly that you also have this problem in the old version 0.5.6?
You can also have a look at this thread, but I think your problem is different.

    Is this the same problem?

When I modify an event the next error occurs:
Error: Event “Test” (id: 11) could not be modified.
Only when I change the start-date, the event is modified with no error. I tried to change the WordPress date format, but that has no effect.

Sorry, 0.6.1 does not solve my problem. The only way I can change an event, is to change the start date of the event.

    (@mibuthu)

There are no date fixes in 0.6.1. I will do more testing and hopefully find some fixes for the next versions 0.6.2 or 0.6.3.

I wonder whether a solution is found already. I can’t explain to users why they should change the date twice when they modify the text of an event. I hope for a fast solution.

In the next version I will include an option to allow specifying a manual date format for the event form. This should allow easier testing and should also make it possible to specify a standard format to make it working until I find a solution. Probably I can already identify the problem.
I hope I can release the new version next weekend.

Thank you mibuthu, I look forward to it.

I have done a complete rewrite of the date handling in the new version 0.6.2. All date issues should be fixed now.

Good news! I tested it on my test-site and the problem is gone.
I just installed it at the production-site and asked the users to test it.
    Thanks for this fix!

I have WP and plugins updated to latest version but I can’t get your plugin to work. When I try to add a new event I got follow message: Error: New Event “test” could not be added.
When I try to update an old event I got follow message: Error: Event “Testing” (id: 6) could not be modified.
Date format is set to “Y-m-d” but I have also tried “Y/m/d” without any luck. I also tried to reinstalled plugin but that didn’t help.
    Please help me.
