    Hello.
Since the Install off Jetpack, i have one little problem. If i check the stats, i find myself as an author (which is correct) but all other authors are an “Unknown Author”. All stats of my other authors are put together there.

So i can’t see, how many views an author has

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

I see a problem with your Jetpack connect on our end. This is because, while your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:

    https://rl-esports.de/xmlrpc.php

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

    https://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php

Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall WordPress” button.

    2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.

    3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, you should be able to reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com. That *should* fix the issue with the stats.

Let me know how it goes!

Yeah, i blocked the xmlrp.php in .htcacess i don’t know why.
I reinstalled Jetpack now, i still se only me in the stats and all my other authors as unkown author.

Your Jetpack connection is working now, yay! I’ve kicked off a full synchronization of your site’s data to the WordPress.com servers. Let’s give it until Monday before checking in again, since the synchronization can take a little while, and the stats are usually updated every 24 hours or so. Let me know on Monday if it looks good or not.

Can you ensure that each author who would like to have a name listed in stats is also connected via Jetpack to a WordPress.com account?

Could be a reason. It should be working even without a Connection to WordPress.com Account. Would be better.

WordPress.com needs that connection to know who to attribute the posts to. ??

It could be also done with Username i think

The data is pulled from WordPress.com, not from the site. So, they will need to be connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack to have their names displayed.

Hi James, I am also seeing the same thing under the Author Stats on WordPress.com via Jetpack:
    – an <unknown> author
    – myself

How do I connect each of my blog’s contributors to WordPress.com so they show up correctly in these Author Stats?

They will need to visit the Jetpack section of the site’s Dashboard, where they will be prompted to connect their own WordPress.com account.
