• Hi Zulfikar,
Ever since WordPress upgrade 4.0 I get this “{{unknown}} in front of most H2 headings only on Homepage? not all!
I have tried asking WordPress for help, but no one has replied, so I am at a loss now. Its not a very nice thing to have on Homepage of my site.

    Can you please help?

Sorry guys but I can not seem to be able to reproduce that issue.

Have you checked the post via the edit >> text tab to see what you have in those positions?

    Zulf

there is nothing additional there in the text tab view. Besides, it only shows up on the home page preview. When you go to the full post it’s no longer there. I can give you access to my website if you that’ll help. The problem is how your theme in version 4.0 of WP handles the front page preview of an article. I’m also using Go Daddy as a server, not sure that has to do with anything…

thanks for help resolve this matter…

All was fine until my last post yesterday.
Now {{unknown}} is at the beginning of the post on home page preview.
Looked into edit >> text tab and inspect element on chrome but just cannot see where it coming from…

    Thanks for any advice.

A Robson, did you update to WP 4.0 in the last couple of days? Are you using Godaddy as a host? How long had you been using this theme before “unknown began appearing?

    Thank for the feedback

    @toon229
Updated to WP 4 as soon as it came out. No for Godaddy.
Used the theme for the last couple of posts 2-3 weeks

    Thanks for the feedback!

I see on your site that it doesn’t show every time, but on my site it appears every time…

On my site it doesn’t come up every time either, I noticed that if I cut and copy reference text from another site,or copy and past photos.. the UNKNOWN is more likely to appear. Especially if I add a pic from my iPhone it doesn’t like it either, unless it’s a photo uploaded from pictures from my laptop. Even comes up if I embed a video before H2 heading.

For some reason it doesn’t recognize copy and past text, treats it as foreign

    Thanks LatestGoss

I do cut-and-paste my text in, because I write in word first…

I’m noticing this exact same problem with “{{unknown}}” showing up on the homepage as the first word of the first sentence of a post. Just like others here have described, when I click into the post, it goes away.

It makes the homepage look horrible. I’ve tried to come up with a workaround, but nothing I’ve tried seems to help. In the text editor, there is nothing to indicate why this is happening, and it looks fine in the preview. I hope someone figures it out soon. Thank you for your help. ??
