“Unknown Ajax error” makes plugin unusable

When opening the plugin page in the dashboard, a pop-up window displays “Unknown Error”. When I try to save an e-mail design or the settings, I get an “Unknown Ajax error” next to the Save button. I cannot use the plugin at all.
EDIT: Half an hour later, it suddenly worked! No idea why …
