Unit numbers are not handled the same as AUS Post
-
I really love your plugin. I recently had a parcel go out to a Unit number at an address, but I missed the unit no on the Aust Post address label. I think this is partly my fault in the way I copied it over but if the ultimate aim is to reduce parcel delivery errors then I want to let you know about this.
The address in question, when searched using the plugin in was structured like this;
Address Line 1: Unit 2,
Address line 2: 999 Freddy St
Suburb: ST MARYS
State: SA
Post Code: 5042On my email order confirmation it looks like this;
Anthony XXXXX
Unit 2
999 Freddy Street
ST MARYS South Australia 5042When I copied the address over to Parcel Send, the ‘Unit 2’ went missing. I may have simply missed it as I had many parcels to do that day. I think I just copied the main address line and not the unit number above it.
Basically, Parcel send uses only 3 ‘lines’ on the label.
Anthony XXXXX
U2 999 FREDDY ST
ST MARYS SA 5042My question is this. Why does your system differ from the way the information is used?
If your system produced the informaion in the exact same way it gets used, then I’m sure the error rate would drop even more.Cheers,
Scott.
