• I have uninstalled this plugin because of Release 1.6.3 … change-log states:

    Release Date – 31 March 2022
    * Dev – DELETED RUSSIAN TRANSLATION AT ALL BECAUSE OF AGGRESSIVE WAR IN UKRAINE

I am very sorry, war is always bad, but it’s exclusively something between powers (governments, states, so called philanthropists and oligarchs) not people.
Russian people is not Russian government!
Is this policy applied to other aggressive nations?
There are troubles all around the world: Yemen, Afghanistan, Siria, Libia, africa in general and so on… are you planning to exclude English or Arabic language as well?

Please consider russian speaking people as people and stop this inhumane and illogical way of thinking, we are all brothers and sister, don’t get bogged down in the slime of racism.

    Hi @gik000

I’m sorry. I agree that it was emotional decision from my side. Indeed, WordPress community and this forum is not place for political discussions and clarifications international relationships. And I’m absolutely agree, that racism is very terrible thing and it should not be propagated anywhere.

I will remove this changelog state from the plugin description in the next plugin update.

I already removed that changelog state and current plugin version does not contain it.

    Hi @gik000

I apoligize to bother you. Can I ask you to delete this 1-star review since this is a political assessment rather than an assessment of the quality of the plugin? I hope for your understanding me.

    Thank you.

    A GTE note:
Plugin author can not delete specific translation made via GlotPress
(translate.www.remarpro.com) however, translation should be 90% complete before language pack is formed.

As for this review/report. I’m leaving this to another moderator to look.

@fierevere thank you for your explanation. I did not register translation via translate.www.remarpro.com They just were *.po and *.mo files in the plugin archive. I replaced them with Ukrainian translation as it is my native language.

Users still can add their translations including Russian via translate.www.remarpro.com

This is wrong. You should not replace one language with another, for whatever reason.

In fact your plugin requires WP 4.6 or higher, GlotPress translations always take priority and if you clean your .po/.pot files and rely on GlotPress – that would be much better approach (for all languages)

    Hi there,

I’m Marius, one of the moderators here at the www.remarpro.com forums.

Although the direct plugin functionality isn’t the main purpose of the review, it does reflect the users experience with the plugin as a whole, and changes made to the plugin will affect a users experience (as does interactions here of course).

The review is skirting the lines, but is currently not making any grievous oversteps, so we will allow the review to stand. The reviewer can of course update their review at any time if they so choose.
