Unique header on blog page

I have a custom header set for the blog page (using a static home page). I set up an if statement that would show the desired header on the blog page, as the plugin does not use the custom header set for the “page”. The last upgrade to the script broken the if statement, which checks to see if is_home(). Any help is appreciated.
