• I hadn’t been to my site in awhile. When I arrived, the dashboard widgets weren’t populating. I looked in the console and saw some errors loading JS files.
Loading failed for the <script> with source "wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/assets/js/admin.js"
Loading failed for the <script> with source "wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/assets/js/amcharts/core.js"
Loading failed for the <script> with source "wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/assets/js/amcharts/charts.js"
I deactivated the plugin, noting that it was the latest version. I reactivated and back at the dashboard, the widgets showed lots of data, but no charts and the JS errors were still there.
So, thinking that the last time I updated the plugin, it didn’t get all the files, I deactivated, uninstalled, then reinstalled the plugin.
Oh, what a mistake! The plugin deletes all the data!
There should be a warning somewhere !!!

It turned out that my uBlock browser extension (which I recently had to switch to since the browser changed how extensions work) needed an exception for my site. (I had the exception in the old AdBlock extension.)
Now I don’t have errors and the widgets and charts work fine, but there is no data to show. It’s sad that this could have been easily prevented.
