    Hello,

What are the procedures to uninstall completely AAM.

    1) I guess the first one is to access AAM Setting panel and Click “Reset AAM Settings”, then desinstal the plugin. Is it enough ?

    2) What if i forgot the first step (reset to default) and removed the plugin from extension manager ? What procedure i should follow then ?

    Thx

    hi @brunov99,

We strongly recommend for you to reset/clear the settings and remove all changes you made on the roles, especially involving capabilities because changes to the list of Roles and Capabilities are permanent and AAM does not reset them.

    Cheers!

    Hi @brunov99,

Let me also add to the @noelalvarez response few words.

First of all, you may clear all AAM settings, but this step is unnecessary because AAM automatically clears them when you uninstall it. AAM registers uninstall hook with WordPress core. However as @noelalvarez mentioned already, any changes that you’ve done to list of roles and capabilities are permanent. AAM works directly with WordPress core for these type of settings.

AAM does not modify any system files like htaccess or core WP files so just uninstalling AAM plugin is more than enough.

Oh, and if you installed any AAM extensions, you can manually delete the wp-content/aam folder.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
