Uninstalled (gdpr), .user.ini and error_log

Wordfence has been fully GDPR compliant since version 7.1.5

Wordfence doesn’t store any IP addresses in a .user.ini file. All it would contain is the following code if the firewall was optimized:

; Wordfence WAF
auto_prepend_file = '/absolute/path/to/wordfence-waf.php'
; END Wordfence WAF

You can double check that all Wordfence database tables have been removed using this guide here:

You are GDPR compliant but me, I am GDPR compliant when I can see IPs in Live Traffic ?

So now that Wordfence is uninstalled, Can I delete the .user.ini and wp-admin/error_log ?

Thnak you for the update.

As mentioned in my previous reply the Wordfence plugin has been fully GDPR compliant since version 7.1.5 as outlined in the links below. If you are not sure that you are fully GDPR compliant then you will need to seek legal advice.

You can delete the Wordfence code in your .user.ini file if the Wordfence code exists and you can delete your PHP error logs if you don’t need them.

Wordfence may have created or edited the file .user.ini.

You should open .user.ini to see if it’s safe to delete. If it only has the setting auto_prepend_file = **** you can safely remove the file.

As for this file wp-admin/error_log – this is generated by another plugin, but you can also remove this file as it’s only a log.
