    Hello,

I tried WP-Topbar yesterday. Then I deactivated the topbar I created, deleted the topbar I created, uninstalled WP-Topbar plugin through the uninstall tab, then deactivated the plugin, then deleted the plugin. But the topbar is still displaying on mobile devices! (I checked on several different tablets!) I even went into PHPMyAdmin and made sure there was no longer a topbar table, and I logged in FTP to look for a topbar plugin directory under wp-content and it wasn’t there anymore. But the topbar I created won’t go away when I view my site on multiple different tablets, even when checking with two different browsers (Safari and Chrome, even after deleting all web data/cache for Safari).

The theme that I use on WordPress doesn’t even have a mobile version.

Toby, I checked your site. There is no trace of the TopBar plugin.

Have you cleared your mobile device cache?

See this site on how to do that: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN14733.html

Hi Bob, yes I have cleared the cache for Safari on two iPads and still see the topbar, BUT I just cleared the cache for Chrome and now the topbar is gone! Thank you. There is some weird cache-ing going on I guess. Thanks for your response.

Bob, I see the topbar again, and I had my friend in eastern europe check the site on iOS 8.3 and they see it too. iOS 8.3 in both Safari and Chrome, with both of their caches cleared. It’s still visible. But only on mobile.

Please re-size your desktop browser to be 320×480.. to match a mobile device. When you do that, you get a topper. That topper is coming from this HTML (you can see this your self, by right clicking the element and click “Inspect Element” in Chrome):

    <div class="pq_mobile" id="PQsmartWidgetsBoxSubcribeBar_mobileText"><p>Tilaa mielenkiintoisia kirjeit? l?hetyskentilt?:</p></div>

It is not coming from wp-topbar. It looks like it is coming from something called “Profitquery”

I deactivated ProfitQuery plugin and it went away! I’m sorry, I got really confused because the topper looked exactly like the wp-topbar I was playing around with yesterday! Sorry for the confusion!

No worries. Glad we figured it out.
