If I install and then decide to uninstall this plugin, is my site exactly as it was before the installation?

For example, although my query is not limited to this notification, upon testing uninstallation, I still have the following notification at the top of my site:

Enable Media Replace is now compatible with ShortPixel!
ShortPixel is an image optimization plugin and if you have it activated, upon replacing an image in Enable Media Replace, the image will be also automatically optimized.

While I can dismiss the notification, I’m concerned that the plugin has not completely removed itself or left some settings permanently changed. Please confirm this is not the case before I install on production site.

    Hi @crawlinson,

If you uninstall the plugin and you didn’t optimize any images when it was installed, yes, your site will be exactly as it was before the installation.

If, on the contrary, you optimized some images while the plugin was installed, uninstalling the plugin will not restore your images to its original state (unless you do manually do it before uninstalling).

Regarding the message, no need to worry. That’s a message displayed by Enable Media Replace, but it doesn’t do anything other than showing a message.

    Best,
