• How do I completely UNINSTALL WordPress from my PC? I set it up locally and did another install going through all the steps. I even get a new username and password, but when I restart or close my broweser that username and password doesn’t work anymore. It reverts back to my very first username and password. And I no longer want that account.

  • Just delete all the wordpress files, and then use phpMyAdmin to delete the database.

And empty the browser cache / cookies.

I have deleted all WordPress files and went to https://localhost/xampp/splash.php->phpMyAdmin and deleted the database by checking all the wp files and dropping them, and then redownloaded WP, unzipped it ant went through the set up. I keep getting a different username and password. But once I logg out it still reverts to my original one! It is driving me crazy.

    What am I doing wrong???

    Have you tried another browser?
    Have you cleared the cache?
Cleared private / password data from the browser?

Hey Podz. Yes I have, done all that. I just can’t figure it out. I have not tried a different browser though. Anymore suggestions??? Thanks dude!

Did you drop the whole database, not just the tables, when you deleted the WP database?

I can’t see why that’s not working, it’s really strange. Try another browser, if it’s still happening, then something funny is going on.

“But once I logg out it still reverts to my original one!”

Huh? ‘original one’ meaning your original username? like your browser is remembering it? And this is after having cleared your old cookies and everything?
