After creating a new test web site a few months back, I noticed there were significant changes to the CookieYes plugin interface, but upon checking the interface on my existing sites the interface was still using the old one – uninstalling/reinstalling didn’t help.

When looking in the DB I noticed that the plugin’s tables and wp_options entries were not being deleted on uninstall. I had to manually delete them and then reinstall to get the updated interface and settings.

I thought this may have been a remnant bug with the old plugin but, recently I cloned a new test site and experienced the review banner constantly popping up within the admin portal.

Again, after an unsuccessful uninstall/reinstall, I had to manually drop cky_ tables and remove cky_ row entries within the wp_options table before reinstalling the plugin to get the banner to stop popping up.

    Hi,
Thanks for the link. I wasn’t aware there was a migration process to switch to the new UI.

With regards to the review banner, I did manage to resolve the issue by deleting the cky_admin_notice entry within the wp_options table after I had uninstalled the plugin, then reinstalling.
