Unicode Question

Hi there!
I have a question on unicode image referrals parsed into the 2019 template for WordPress. On the footnote I have described on the page in question, it refers to an external site for the unicode graphic at the end of the footnote:
Is it possible to alter that somewhere in WordPress so it does not refer to an external .svg image file? Maybe something I can host?

Thanks for your response and time, Joy.
I am not using a plugin to produce footnotes, I just placed the code for the symbol at the end of the footnote and it somehow defaulted towards that graphic. It’s a bit of a head scratcher.
Any other thoughts?
