Btw, that error in Firefox console have nothing to do with Stock Ticker.

When you see ‘Unfortunately…’ message, right click on that message and inspect element. You’ll see in HTML comment error message returned from server. It will probably say that in 2000 ms wecould not fetch data. If that is case, please increase Fetch Timeout setting in plugin settings from 2 seconds to 4 seconds, and re-save settings.

    Hi,

It seems that the file uploads/stock-ticker-custom.css gets removed from the server for some reason. Why would that be?

I had the Timeout at 4 and I was plying around with it already

    Hi Flexer,

I have no clue why that happens, as Stock Ticker never attempt to delete that file but only to write content to it.

Try to add manually some test .css file to wp-content/uploads/, and when you notice that wp-content/uploads/stock-ticker-custom.css file missing check si there that test css file. If not, then you have something that removes css files from uploads directory.

Btw, I see again that plugin can’t get quote from Google, and looks like fetch timeout is too short?

    Hi,

Thanks for the information regarding the ticker not working. I simply uploaded my local stock-ticker-custom.css file, did not clear cache or make any other changes and the ticker worked again.

    Very interesting….
