Unfortunately useless

  • Twice I tried using this on two sites, and twice I get errors. The 1st was Table Key Errors.

    The 2nd was Serialization Errors.

    To fix these errors requires me to PAY someone who knows MYSQL. I am not knowledgeable enough to fix these. The time taken to fix it, I might as well use lorem ipsum text and just produce dummy content to mimic my two sites (which is what I did for the 1st site when I encountered the Table Key Errors).

    What is the point then?

    This plugin is USELESS. Most likely it only works if your database is simple and with a simple structure to start with….

  • I have used this plugin more than two dozen times to move all manner of sites using a wide array of plugins and themes and I have never run into any situation like you described. The plugin is certainly not useless. But perhaps your site structure was.

    I can’t get it to work. The FAQ and help files are vague and short on detail.
    They tend to skip over some info and if you have an issue, it’s go pay someone. I would happily buy the plugin if it worked. If I need to pay someone t move the site, why would I want this plugin anyway?
    I have migrated many sites, using manual and other other plugins. This plugin adds code to the wp-config that isn’t there in other migrations and if you try to modify or remove it the file won’t save.
