Unfortunately, time is catching up

I’m sure technically it can do all I need, but the UI/UX in both de WP admin, default transactional emails and the newsletter-builder are feel 10 years old.
It’s nowhere near (what are supposed to be the competitors) of Mailchimp, Mailerlite etc.
Which is a bummer, because I really hoped to be using a newsletter-builder with my own mailer/SMTP service. This is just not workable for me and my clients.
With proper UI/UX designers, I’m sure this could easily be a 4 or even 5 star plugin.
