    Hi,

My site was running REALLY slow and I wasn’t able to narrow down exactly which recent update caused the issue. I elected to restore from a backup from a month ago, and selected all items to restore (plugins, themes, uploads, others, db). The page reported that the restore failed, but my site is running normally again. Is it okay to dismiss the “You have an unfinished restoration operation” notification and continue on?

    According to the log,
    – entity: db – restored and Unlocking database and leaving maintenance mode displays
    – entity: plugins – restored through “cleaning up rubbish …”
    – entity: themes – restored through “cleaning up rubbish …”
    – entity: uploads – restored through “Moving unpacked backup into place… Cleaning up rubbish…”
    – entity: others – reports a file ownerships and permissions error with a folder – /wp-content/mu-plugins (which is a must-use folder for a plugin that was installed by default through a WP install performed via the host server.) I don’t actually care about this plugin, and it didn’t change between now and the restore I’m using anyway.

So … since the important four entities completed successfully, am I safe to dismiss the “not complete” notification and go forward as is, since the restore that was successful DID resolve my performance issues and I will re-address the updates of the plugins/theme later?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

As per the text you sent above it shows that only the “others” backup did not get restored. If everything is working properly then you can ignore or you can restore the “others.zip” manually by extracting the files and upload it to the “wp-content” folder.

    Thanks,
    Bryle
