    Hi,

I’m getting an “Unexpected server error” when trying to update the USPS (WooCommerce Services) shipping method. I could update these settings once, but not anymore. What can I do/check to make this work?

    Thanks!

Also, from time to time I get this message on the Cart page:

“There are no shipping methods available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.”

What is causing this?? It makes me think this plugin is not that reliable.. Please help.

    Hi @andxres,

I’m getting an “Unexpected server error” when trying to update the USPS (WooCommerce Services) shipping method.

Can you go to WooCommerce > Status > WooCommerce Services and turn on Logging and Debug? The log files will be able to shed some light on the unexpected server error.

Also, from time to time I get this message on the Cart page:

“There are no shipping methods available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.”

This may be caused by the address in General > Settings > Store Address not being complete – make sure that you have the complete address there, and that you have the Zone set for the address you are shipping to. More information on Zones can be found at this link. Also, having the Debug mode on from above can tell you on the Cart page what is pulling from Services, and why the error is showing.

Please let us know the results!

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Turning on just Logging and Debug doesn’t provide much info (the Shipping and Taxes logs are empty and the Other Log is just displaying info about when logging and debug were enabled), also no info is displayed on the Cart and Checkout page.

Turning on Debug Mode from Settings -> Shipping -> Shipping Options (plus the above mentioned debug options from WooCommerce Services) is displaying info on the Cart page, but this is not helping me in finding the cause of this “Unexpected server error” on the plugin’s page (when trying to update the USPS (WooCommerce Services) shipping method).

Regarding the other issue, the Store Address is complete and I have only one Zone (US). Also, the issue I encountered is on the Cart page (when the shipping address is not yet known). Again, this is not happening all the time – sometimes I can see the shipping price and sometimes I’m getting the “There are no shipping methods available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.” notice. What’s strange is when I’m immediately enabling the debug mode and refresh the Cart page, I’m seeing the shipping options just fine. That happened all the times so I don’t have any info about why could cause this behavior.

Is there something else I could check to get to the bottom of this issue? I want to remove some First-Class Mail and Priority Mail services. As a temporary solution, could I do that directly in the database? If so, could you give some details?

    Thanks!

The issue with the “Unexpected server error” is solved. It was the Sucuri firewall service (not the plugin). For those who have the same issue and and have this firewall installed, I had to whitelist the IP from Website Firewall – Settings – API – Whitelist IP – it doesn’t have an option to add an IP, it just whitelists your station’s IP.

    Hi @andxres,

    Awesome!

Again, this is not happening all the time – sometimes I can see the shipping price and sometimes I’m getting the “There are no shipping methods available. Shipping debug disables shipping cache – if you can see items with it turned on and refreshed, but turn it off and the problem arises again, then check your plugins for any caching plugins (W3 Super Cache, WP Rocket, etc) as well as the cache on your server. The following pages:

    Cart
    Checkout
    My Account

Need to be removed from the caching items. More on configuring these plugins should you have them can be found at this link and you can reach out to your Host to make sure they are not caching the pages above. If you are unsure what plugins might be caching plugins, feel free to disable all but WooCommerce, WooCommerce Services and your payment gateway and test, then re-enable the plugins until the issue comes back. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks a lot for your help! Adding the above mentioned pages on the non-cache list of the firewall solved the issue :D.

Super! We will close this thread, glad it is working ??
