    Hi,

There could be a conflict between UpdraftPlus and other plugins you are using. Could you try temporarily deactivate the other plugins? Do you still get the same issue?

Please also try using a different browser? See if the error still occurs.

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle

    Hi,

I deactivated all plugins except UDP and still get an Unexpected Response message.

I tested in the latest Mac versions:
    Chrome: errors
    Safari: errors
    Firefox: no error

Tested today on PC, Edge and Chrome have the Unexpected Response error. Firefox works ok.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

Are you using any extensions on the browsers where the error occurs?

    Hi,

I have several extensions in Chrome, but not on Mac/Safari or Windows/Edge.

I tested with Chrome with all extensions turned off, and get the unexpected response error.

To note it again, I only get this on WordPress sites hosted on IIS. I do not get this error on sites hosting on other platforms, in any browser.

I think that the webserver is doing something wrong with the encoding of the HTTP traffic. Normally the browser and server sort that out between themselves; it’s not under the control of applications (i.e. things like WP, UD). If Firefox works, then I guess it has something clever in it to fix it up automatically? Or just doesn’t do something that triggers IIS to behave badly? You’d need to use a tool like Wireshark or the net inspector in the browser to see what’s going on.
