Unexpected response error message when backing up

Whenever I back up with UpdraftPlus, toward the end of the backup I get “Unexpected response:” and a long error message. It happens in my dashboard, so there’s no link to a page that I can show you. I can send a snip of the error message. This is concerning because I’m not sure if I’m backing up properly and if my site can be restored if it goes down. Is there someone who can translate what the error message is telling me? This didn’t always happen. It started happening a few weeks into building the site. I’ve been building now for about a month. I’m using Divi and Divi’s tech support doesn’t understand the message and suggested I contact UpdraftPlus. Thanks for any help you can give me. (I was backing up as I was typing this, and it happened just happened again.)
