• I have just installed WordPress. I go to Appearance and get the 3 default themes. I try to add a new theme and I get “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.” I can get no further.

I try to upload a theme (it’s in a zip file) and I get “Missing a temporary folder.” Again, I’m stuck.

I have added /tmp folders multiple places following suggestions from another post.

I’m new at this so if you have an idea, please give me step-by-step instructions.

    Thanks.

    I try to upload a theme (it’s in a zip file)…

    Which theme?

It’s called Resurrect purchased from Churchthemes.com. I can’t get to any of the WordPress themes, either, except the 3 default ones.

What theme are you currently using? Can you switch between the default themes without problems?

Have you tried to upload the new theme (unzipped) via FTP to the themes folder? Do you still get errors?

    Zane,

Good questions. The site is currently up but not with WordPress. (www.stcuthbertsoakland.com) I’m trying to switch to WordPress. From the back end, it looks like I can change between the default themes but when I hit “preview” for a post I’m still just getting the old (not WordPress) page.

I’m also getting the “missing temporary folder” error when I try to upload an image.

I tried uploading the theme via FTP to the themes folder and got the same “unexpected error….” message when I try to change to it.

    Thanks for your help.
