“Unexpected error” on trying to sign up

After setting up the plugin, I did a test subcription and get the same message when I click on the confirmation link.

It might be some plugin conflict. Temporarily deactivate all other plugins except Email Subscribers and have a recheck on the issue.

Did some more test with deactivation and activation of plugins and still get the same “Oop, an unexpected error……” still comes up with clicking on the link below. Even after installing your new update. However, the subscription was confirmed and added to subscriber list.

My problem is more serious than @pamb083006’s –?on my site, users can’t subscribe to the newsletter. I deactivated some plugins that might interfere (security, spam protection etc.) to no avail.

Are there any more ideas?

We are working on this issue. Found out the cause of issue and trying to fix this.
Please give us some more time and we will release new version of Email Subscribers soon.

Icegram, there was an update for the plugin the other day. I unstalled the update, and did a couple of test and I am happy to say that it not works without the “Oops there was a problem…” message. Whatever the update did, I am grateful. Thank you!

as I didn’t hear back from you after my last message, I’ve now uninstalled the plugin and switched to another one.

It took a bit longer to investigate and fix the issue. I hope you liked the plugin, please consider installing it again in future. ??

retemirabile have you tried the new version of Email Subscribers 3.5.13.
This will solve your issue.
Please update to latest version and let us know how it goes?

@icegram: As I said above, I’ve switched to another plugin. After your first attempt at solving the issue, it persisted for me and I didn’t hear back for five days that you were still looking into it so I couldn’t wait any longer.
