Hello there! I’m having trouble with importing installed and/or free kits. I have the lastest Version 2.0.5. and when trying to import kits I get this warning:
    —————–

    Unexpected Error
Sorry there was an unexpected error from API call:

SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0. <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> <html><head> <title>500 Internal Server Error</title> </head><body> <h1>Internal Server Error</h1> <p>The server encountered an internal error or mis

I’m also prompted to download Elementor Pro plugin to use any of the kits that I’ve installed from Envato or any of the free kits available. This WAS NOT the case a few months ago when I last did major site updates. I have an Envato Elements account but I’ve never purchased Elementor Pro because I get along just fine with the free version – until now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??

    Thanks!
    Charissa

    Hi Charissa,

The 500 Internal Server Error could be these PHP settings:

    – Max PHP Execution Time
    – Max File Upload Size
    – Max PHP Memory Limit

Could you please contact the hosting provider and ask them to increase these settings to try to resolve the 500 error message?

We’re working on an update to the plugin which will make it clearer which templates require Elementor Pro, and which ones do not require Elementor Pro.

Thanks for your feedback and if the 500 error continues please reach out to our support email address so we can better debug and diagnose the issue.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi @dtbaker

I am having the same issue, I asked my hosting (BlueHost) to increase the settings, they did that to the max possible value but I still have the issue… are there any specific values for each limit? do you think of another issue?

    Regards.

An update for you @dtbaker , the values in my site now are:
    – Max PHP Execution Time 90
    – Max File Upload Size 512M
    – Max PHP Memory Limit 512M

I was able to solve the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling again the plugin.

    Regards.
