• Hi,

I try to use your plugin to implement Borgun payment gateway, but it doesn’t seem to work. I try to use it in test mode, but when it redirects me to Borgun (https://test.borgun.is/SecurePay/default.aspx) I see an Unexpected error message. There is no additional info on it, so I cannot debug it. The payload (data sent to Borgun) seems OK based on the Borgun documentation, but the payment window doesn’t appear for some reason. I checked all docs I could find online, and used the default test merchant IDs the plugin recommended, but still no luck.
I use Woocommerce 5.8 (but also tried on 5.9 and 6.0), and tried on different websites (fresh WP install, localhost, http, https, online domain).
I see another ticket with same problem, without answer since 10 months… If this plugin is still maintained, please help to get Borgun payment work.

    Regards,
    Csaba

  • Hi Csaba,

It seems like you don’t have an active contract with Saltpay/Borgun.
You have to enter a Valid Payment gateway ID, Merchant ID and Secret Key for the test environment to work.

These are all provided by Saltpay.

    Hi @kristofermar,

thanks for the quick feedback. I didn’t know I need to enter valid IDs to make the test environment work, I thought the default values serve exactly that purpose.
I think it would worth to mention this in the plugin description.
Our contract is currently in progress, I will try again with our valid IDs when I get them, and hope it will work then.
If I get you right, I will be able to test the gateway in test mode (with test cards) with our valid IDs before going live, right?

    Thanks,
    Csaba

Your feedback is noted! Hope everything will work correctly when the contract is finished.

Yes then you can activate test mode and use test CC’s.

    Best regards,
    Kristó

    Alright, thanks for the help.
I will try it, and give you feedback when we have the contract ready.
