Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92)

    Hello,

    I am having issues with my IM Press listings plugin. Every time I go to activate the plugin I get:
    Warning: Unexpected character in input: ‘\’ (ASCII=92) state=1 in wp-content/plugins/wp-listings/includes/class-listing-import.php on line 63

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /wp-content/plugins/wp-listings/includes/class-listing-import.php on line 63

    I did see the other forum but I feel that my issue is different.

    This is different and unique to your installation. What version of PHP are you running? The plugin requires at least version 5.4. Contact your webhost to update the version of PHP on your server.

    Yes I have confirmed we are running 5.4.
