Unexpected character “\”

    Hi,

    Just used for the first time your plugin on a WP 4.6 with PHP 5.2.17 and when saving the main file of the ShortPixel Image Optimizer plugin (wp-shortpixel.php) I get the following error, even if the plugin is working fine:

    error: Parse Error: Unexpected character “\” (ASCII 92) on unknown line

    What could be the source of the problem?

    Thanks for a really great plugin otherwise.

    The WPide plugin seems to be no longer maintained.
    I have a fork called AceIDE with many bugfixes. If you continue to have problems with WPide, feel free to give AceIDE a shot, and let me know if you have any issues so we may sort them.
