Unexpected Block of whitespace at top of Post

    After the post header lines (title, time, spacer line if present) I get an unexpected block of whitespace about 13 lines high before the first line of the post. This occurs on all of the themes I tried including Networker, cutline-3-column-split, juicy, and chess series orange. Something very fundamental is not right.

  • use the latest firebug (with firefox) and pinpoint the CSS that’s causing the problem. this kind of stuff is almost always CSS.

    The problem involved use of the “All in One Adsense and YPN” plugin. I had activated it, but never configured it. The plugin reserved a default blank block of content space for itself at the top of each post. I’d suggest that the plugin instructions include a warning on this side effect.
