• I asked someone (This is Person 1) to install a particular plug-in to my web site. So I used “Temporary Login Without Password” to create an admin login for him.

Then, there was some kind of an unprofessional behaviour and I locked the access via Temporary Login Without Password.

A few after, I pressed the “edit” button in the current access and gave an access to another person (This is Person 2) for a week.

Apparently, Person 1 accessed to my web site and deleted most of my content.

So my question: When I edit the initial access rights for the Person 2, I thought that a new login admin credentials would be created so that Person 1’s old access is not valid anymore. That is not the case?

Should I have deleted the old credentials and create a new one with a new email address?

    Thanks!

    Hi @edirik,

Yes, you need to create a new user with a new email address in order to create a different link.

Since, you enabled the existing user settings and extended the login, the Person 1 was able to access the site since they already had the link with them.

Sorry to hear about this, but please make sure you disable the login link or delete the user from the temporary user list next time in case you do not want to provide them access.

    Hope this helps.
    Thank You!
