uneditable fields in the add new post box.

  • I am looking for a way to, or a plugin which allows, uneditable fields in the post.

    I have tried some of the post template options but the code they add in can be removed.

    What I need is the ‘more’ line to be perminately in the post and unable to be removed. Since I will have many people posting and some of them may remove this line, which messes up the theme.

    Alternatively, is it possible to have posts when they display on the index.php have a limited character number? So it automatically cuts the post to say 20 characters then has a ‘…’ afterwards?
