• I updated a plugin today, and it messed some things up. I just want to restore it to the previous version. I DID find the previous version. HOW, please, do I restore that plugin to the previous version, WITHOUT destroying my customizations or that plugin? Thanks!

This really is why you should not modify any plugin in the WordPress repo. When an update comes through you will lose all of your modifications.

Unless you can get a copy of your modified plugin then you will need to make all the modification again. What plugin is it and what modification are you trying to make?

The plugin is WP-Review, and the modifications I mean are just the settings I have used: I did not change any code or anything. I just do not want to have to redo every review on the website.

The settings shouldn’t have been changed or reset. Can you post a support topic in that plugin’s dedicated sub-forum? If that’s happening then the plugin author needs to know and may be able to provide a fix.

You can try and contact your hosting company and see if they can revert your site to a previous day’s backup. I did this once and it was such a timesaver…

Actually it looks like you have a topic with that author already.
