    When I upload an image that does NOT have a caption but DOES have a link and margin settings and the image is placed on the right or left, WordPress places an unwanted border around the image that extends past the image’s edge.

    You can see what it looks like here:
    https://www.theflyingm.com/files/misc/BorderBug.jpg

    This border goes away when I remove the link.

    This bug also manifested itself in Beta 3 of 2.7.

    It’s with your theme, not wordpress it self. Post a link to the page where this is happening then we can tell you how to fix it.

    Well, I’ve taken it offline — it was a test — but the site is at https://www.flyingmproductions.com/.

    Is the problem in the CSS file?

    Yes you can add this and it should stop it from happening
    a img {border:none}

    Thanks very much. Sorry to bother you with a false bug. 2.7 looks GREAT and I can’t wait to fire up all my blog-based sites with the final release.
