  • Your simple product and your variation might physically be the same thing but WooCommerce will see them as separate items, each having its own identity and its own stock level. If you use SKUs, they too must be different. WooCommerce won’t join up the stock levels for you. I’ve not come across a plugin that will do that.

The fix is to sell your product as one or the other. If there is some relation, put a link to the other in the product description, but sell it on one page only.

    Hello there,

If i set the variable product stock quantity say to 9 and somebody bought the product as a simple product-on a different page.

Just to be sure, that sounds like you would like to sell the same product in different marketplaces/sites? That sounds to me like a custom stock integration solution.

This would need to scrape the item’s stock that is outside Woo Commerce site and being monitored on a regular basis.

I recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.

    Thanks.
