Understanding one-time subscriptions

    I’m trying to setup one-time subscription non recurring and i not understand it.
    I want to make subscription for 3 or more months so that a member pay every month small amount
    so he not buy 3 months at the whole price. For example to buy 3 months price would be 75$ but by recurring he would pay 25$ during 3 months and his membership would end after.
    Is this possible to achieve using one-time subscriptions?

    PS: I searched google found a couple of topics but none answer my question.
