• Hi,

First of all thank you for making this great plugin ?? I’ve used it on several sites now.

However, on the latest two I got this error when I try using the RSS feed. I’m using version 1.6.4. They are trying to display the exact same rss as on other site were it’s working. WP version is 4.9.8 on both working and none working copies. And the White Label CMS plugin is the same version.

I’m using the same other plugins and themes so I’m at a loss to explain why this issue has appeared.

You wouldn’t by any chance have an idea?

    Kind regards,
    Bruno

    Hi Bruno,

We think this is only possible if there is an issue with the RSS feed and you can’t pull the RSS feed. It seems very strange it would work on one and not the other.

Can you try adding a variable to the URL you are using for the RSS, and see if that breaks the cache? Perhaps it was just a glitch.

Let us know how you get on.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Unfortunitely that didn’t change much. I’ve even made a separate rss-file with no entries and tried to use that one, but it still returns this error. Very odd indeed.

I now notice another error accompanying the former error in the debug log:

“This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1, column 1 in /wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 1421”

I can’t tell how it’s not well-formed and I’ve even had the rss validated with no issues. And it would still be strange if it well-formed on one site and not the other.

    Kind regards,
    Bruno

    Hi Bruno,

I am not sure the answer to this one. Just one thought, your not on an http site trying to access an https feed are you?

    Thanks

    Hi

Actually I am. The ones that work are on https, didn’t think of that.

    Kind regards,
    Bruno
