Hi, sorry to bother you, but I am getting this line of error code when using your plug-in to show a list of posts:
Notice: Undefined index: excerptTrim in /www/wp-content/plugins/custom-layouts/includes/template/elements/class-excerpt.php on line 51 Notice: Undefined index: excerptHideReadMore in /www/wp-content/plugins/custom-layouts/includes/template/elements/class-excerpt.php on line 52

I get this at the post excerpt/post content area, along with the rest of the actual post excerpt after the error message. The post thumbnail, title, category and “Read more” buttons display fine.
I got this on a staging site at Flywheel hosting, running latest WordPress version 5.7.2 on a customised Genesis Sample theme. Could it be a plug-in or theme conflict?

    Thank you.

    Hey Poutine

If you’re on production, you should disbable WP_DEBUG to hide those errors (that’s a temporary workaround).

I’ll look into that issue, it sounds like a fix is needed from our side, we’ll try to get that in an update towards the end of the week.

    Thank you for your reply.

I just had time to test the suggested workaround, and I can confirm that it works, both in the block editor and on the published post.

    Keep up the good work.

Hi @8sbkgr – I’m trying to track down this issue but I can’t replicate.

Those two settings were introduced in our last update, but they shouldn’t be throwing errors..

Could you try de-activating / activing our plugin again?

If that doesn’t work, could you copy this on to a staging site for me to look at?

    Thanks

Actually, this seems to be fixed for me too. I’ve updated your plug-in to version 1.4.2 and I’m no longer seeing the error, even with the ‘wp_debug’ on.

    Thank you.
