    obviously, I am talking about the auto-generated captcha image, which is always different at any page load. The plugin should create it, already optimized, before to draw it on the page.

    I just tried some php imagepng compression settings but it did not really make any measurable improvement. I think if you are optimizing your web site there is very little gain in trying to further compress 4-10kb images. Generally speaking, target the larger images on your site to optimize for a more substantial reduction in page speed.

    I agree about speed, it’s just I am a perfectionist and wished to get rid of the error triggered in GTmetrix because of your unoptimized captcha images
