an alternative solution involves adding one accordion item per block as I explain below.

Don’t add more than one accordion item per block instance like in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/kQwc0Nh

Instead, for each accordion, insert a new accordion block: https://ibb.co/k5xd2JW

Thinking of it. If there is only one accordion, I assume it will not collapse!?… or am I wrong?

By having a single accordion item per block, you can set each one as collapsed or un-collapsed through “Initial Collapsed” setting.
