Uncluttering/simplifying page display – remove blog listings

If you go to my site, https://imagesbyeduardo.com/main, you will see that rather than defaulting to the blog page, I have a custom (aka “static”) page (which I rotate) that comes up by default. However, I am not entirely happy with how cluttered things look with the blog entries, categories, etc. listing on the right.

I’d like to somehow remove that for selected pages, perhaps only letting the blog page (“Articles” for me) show that listing of entries, categories, archive, etc. on the right. Is there a clean way to do that? What part of the theme would be the cleanest edit to get that done? FWIW, I am using a customized version (my own color scheme) of the Carbonize theme.
