Well, first off, instead of going to blogger, I’d suggest signing up for a WordPress.com account. As stated above, this is a different account than the one you have at www.remarpro.com, which may have been the source of some of your confusion.
although the idea that anyone would expect a writer to repair a typewriter is ludicrous; because I drive a car, would you expect me to be able to fix, say, my own transmission? of course you’d have to pay someone else. Otherwise we’d all be self-sufficient. And totally unproductive.
I see your point, but at the same time, I can repair a transmission. Frankly, I think Heinlein said it best:
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
This is a support forum, full of people who know the code and the tech stuff. If you ask a question here, you should expect a technical answer. That’s all I’m saying. You may not be happy with the answer, but then you can always pay somebody to fix your problem for you. The forum is free.
