Unchecked Custom Post Types, Pages, etc Still Appear in Search Results

This may well be by design. The search suggestions are cached for 10 minutes (https://github.com/scottsweb/instant-search-suggest/blob/master/assets/inc/iss-ajax.php#L186) so it may take 10 minutes for your settings change to be reflected.

Please let me know if waiting has not helped. I may need to look at clearing the caches when settings are updated… it may also be another issue.

I don’t think the cause of this issue is cache because the settings have been changed for about 2 days and the problem remains.

Not at this moment in time. You should check that a list of the correct post types are being passed here: https://github.com/scottsweb/instant-search-suggest/blob/master/assets/inc/iss-ajax.php#L104

And the results being returned are accurate from that query.

I’m not very technical, so where exactly would I go to check if the post types are being passed and return correctly? And how would I go about making changes if need be?

When you get a chance, I’d appreciate if you’d break down how I could go about checking everything.

I have been able to re-create this bug and have made some changes to the version on Github. Can you install this version: https://github.com/scottsweb/instant-search-suggest/archive/master.zip and let me know if it fixes the issue for you.

I experienced the same issue with the new version where unchecked custom post types and pages still appear in the instant search results.

Not sure what else I can suggest then I am afraid. I would employ a developer to do some debugging in your site against the plugin.
