uncheck the default payment on the finalize purchase page

Hey @vaporlibre!

Since radio buttons are used for the payment options, one of them will be selected by default. However, the default should be the ‘top’ option, so if you’d like to change that default selection, you can re-arrange the payment methods on the WooCommerce > Settings > Payments page and just put them in the order you want them to be shown on the Checkout page (top-down, default at the top).

Thank you very much, I solved that, could not in any way uncheck the default box, so that the client has to select one?

I tried the code snippet provided here and it worked for me on my test site to remove the default selected payment method – https://www.xadapter.com/woocommerce-clear-default-shipping-and-payment-options-on-cartcheckout-page/

I tested @etiennep in latest woocommerce version 4.x and it is not working anymore. Any workaround to remove default options?

Hey, i join to @ssoulless ‘s last comment above. Are there any plans on Woocommerce side to smoothen up this issue for majority of devs with Woocommerce 4.5+ ?
