Hello @nspace1999 ,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, there is a way! It sounds like you’ve enabled the options to have statistics pre-checked by only gathering anonymized data.
If you’re using Google Analytics or Tag Manager, this condition is met if you’ve selected the following three options under “Does the following apply to your website?” in Wizard > Consent > Statistics:
- “I have accepted the Google data processing amendment”
- “Google is not allowed to use this data for other Google services”
- “Acquiring IP-addresses is blocked (GTM) / IP addresses are anonymized or let Complianz do this for me (G-Analytics)”
This will “unlock” the question in Wizard > Consent > Statistics configuration: “Do you want to ask consent for statistics?”
For other tools like Matomo, Yandex, Clarity, or if you select “Yes, but not with any of the above services,” the “Do you want to ask consent for statistics?” question appears by default.
Keep in mind that this condition only applies to regions that allow it. In regions where this condition doesn’t apply, consent is still required.
Hope it helps.
