Uncheck recurring donation box by default

There’s currently no setting for that, but we plan to make that an option in the next version.

In the meantime you can implement this with a filter:

If you figure out how to correct this, will you please post it, bm @ mchpp.org? The snippet of code offered isn’t working for me. It feels rude to have the default set to recurring.

Thanks for following up on that. Just for some context, when it comes to development of the core plugin we try to follow the 80/20 rule. Basically, we only want to create settings that will benefit at least 80 percent of the users. That said, since we released Recurring Donations we’ve heard many people say they want that checkbox OFF by default, so we WILL be adding that as an option since it clearly benefits more than 80% of the users.

I’m pretty sure the 80/20 rule mean you should only listen to the 20% of your customers who yield 80% of your value… ?? But, point taken and good to hear this will be a setting. Thanks for the great code snippet above and pointing me to filters.
