Hi, I am having the following problem: When I check the product categories, the “Uncategorzed” category shows 1 post. However, when I click on the ‘1’ to see which post it is, there’s nothing there. Neither in the published products, nor in the draft status or trash can.
The side effect of this is that the YITH product category filter shows ‘uncategorized’ in the dropdown list, while there are no actual products in there.

I’ve tried setting a different product category as default so I can delete ‘uncategorized’, but that does not work (I assume because WooCommerce still thinks there’s a product in there).

The problem is only on the dutch product overview, where ‘uncategorized’ is actually named ‘geen onderdeel van een categorie’.

Can you help me get rid of this ghost product?

Nevermind, I already solved it myself. Turned out to be an english translation of a product, somehow stuck in a dutch category. After deleting and re-translating the product (with WPML), the problem has disappeared.

    Hi Boris!
I’m having the same problem with WooCommerce & WPML – I came across your post & it sounds exactly like the problem I’m having so I guess the solution could be the same too!
The only thing is – I can’t figure out how to find the translation which is stuck in the wrong category?
I was just wondering whether you had any tips you could share quickly?
Thanks so much in advance for your help – this ghost product has been driving me crazy for ages!
    Best wishes,
    Katie

    Hi Katie,
I don’t exactly remember how I retrieved it. It may have been in the trash, but only visible when WPML was set to the proper language. Or it was only visible when navigating there via Post > Categories > clicking the category. You could try those.
If that does not work, I would search in the database directly. Good luck!

    Regards,
    Boris
