Unavailable variation not crossed-out

Hi all,
I configured several products (t-shirts) on my store.
I have many colours and not for all of them the size XXS is available.

So, I did not configure the variation “Bottle Green – XXS” since it is not available.
What I see in product page if I select “Bottle Green” color is visible here.

Instead another product, configured exactly as the previous one (so no variation “bottle green – XXS” is present), is visible like this.

This last one, with red cross and not-clickable attribute, is extremely better in my opinion. But I cannot understand why they are shown differently.

I checked all attributes and parameters of the product but they are the same.
Do you know what could generate this difference in the presentation?
